Yesterday, a group of joint forces from Uganda, Southern Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo attacked the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). According to the forces' spokesperson, the attack had a clear objective: to "destroy the LRA and eliminate or capture rebel leader Joseph Kony." The LRA is notorious for abducting and using children as soldiers and conducting horrific raids in Northern Uganda over the last 20 years — affecting some of the children we serve at Empower African Children.
